If you start a new game and disable the mod until you drain the quarry remember to enable BOTH the mod and the plugin for it. If you do not do this then thick will not spawn when you head to thicket excavations. If you already cleared out the area and are running the no respawns leave the area save and reinstall. I am not sure how true that is, but I have played a lot after that quest completing and it still has not drained for me and I am only at level 8 so far.
